The Wee! Active Work Desk is a revolutionary concept that combines a traditional work desk and a swing into a single piece of furniture. The integrated swing seat allows the user to stay active and engaged while working, adding an element of fun to the workday. This unique design offers two pieces of furniture in one, providing a practical solution to the growing concern over prolonged sitting.

Constructed from CNC cut plywood and steel pipes, the Wee! desk is both sturdy and easy to assemble. The desk measures 1000 mm in width, 900 mm in length, and stands 800 mm tall. The swing seat is cleverly integrated into the desk and can be easily pulled out when needed. To ensure safety and stability, the seat is equipped with hooks on each side that attach to the inner edges of the table.

Palovis' design was motivated by research showing the health risks associated with prolonged sitting, such as back and shoulder pain, spine deformities, and muscle and bone degeneration. The Wee! desk encourages movement, offering a healthier alternative to traditional work desks and standing desks, which can also lead to physical strain and reduced productivity.

The design process was not without its challenges. Ensuring the swing was a functional and comfortable part of the desk required extensive testing. The result, however, is a product that not only promotes physical activity but also provides a spacious workspace.

The Wee! Active Work Desk has been recognized for its innovative design, winning the Silver A' Furniture Design Award in 2018.
